Bella Vita Set
This is part of my Bella Vita series. This series was inspired by a trip to Italy I took in 2022 with two of my best friends, Alessandra Gotbaum and Olivier Sherman.
Particularly, it was inspired by a really special day we spent on a boat with our captain-turned-friend, Alessandro.
I was going through a bit of a time prior to this trip. I was struggling to figure out if I am on the "right" path and if not, how can I get onto it, and more importantly, do I even want to?? I was this close to seeing a psychic (but thankfully I was not actually that desperate... sorry Oli ;-) hehe). But then on this special day, I realized that I was missing the ride and that that is what it's really all about... for me at least. With Frank Sinatra's That's Life blaring, and me dangling off the boat by a tether while we sailed, or dancing at the helm with my best buds, I realized I am doing something right to have so much love and meaning in my life in the form of my friendships and my family, who I am so grateful for. The beauty of Italy, and in particular, the culture, attitude, and vibe of the friends we made there, set me straight. And I ended up sobbing with gratitude and happiness... no joke! I am tearing up right now thinking about it.
So the Bella Vita series is about that: gratitude for the beauty of this life. Gratitude and for all the meaning we can find in the connections we make. And most of all, gratitude for the time we get on this miraculous blue marble.
